It's been a long time.....

I know that it has been a long time since I last posted, but I seriously can't seem to find the time to sit down at the computer... until now. We have had a great summer and now we are back into school! This summer we had various sports camps, swim lessons, baseball games, a vacation to San Fransisco, and we put our sprinkler system in! The summer flew by as it always does and now here we are back to school! Andrew is now in the 2nd grade and Brooklyn is finally in kindergarten. They both love their teachers and life is good. I never quite understood my mother when she said we lived in the car most of our lives, but now I totally understand where she was coming from. Poor Emrie has to put up with running from place to place everyday. Our days are filled with school, dancing, gymnastics, soccer, baseball games, and baseball practices. Not to mention I am going back to school this fall to complete my Masters in Reading/Education. My official start date is Tuesday, September 2nd (Nic's 30th Birthday)! I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I uploaded several pictures from our summer and from the first week of school. Also notice the pictures of Andrew playing baseball, I sure think he looks like his uncle Tyler. We all are doing great and are just trying to live in the moment with our kids and enjoy them and all of their fun activities! I forgot to add, Andrew is finally old to enough (from Nic's point of view) to finally go hunting with his dad. He went on his first bow hunt down in southern Utah a couple of weeks ago and did great. Nic said he walked at least 10 miles and never complained once. Have a great Fall and I am sure I will post in another 6 months or so! Ha Ha!

Spring Break: A Much Needed Break!

Hey Everybody! It sure has been awhile, hasn't it? I decided I better update my blog before my sister Lindsay does it for me. It is Spring Break for my kids and I and it couldn't come at a better time! I feel like I have been going a million miles an hour without a break. Nic and I are going to die early deaths if we both don't slow down a little! I guess I better give an update on our little family. First things first: We finally moved into our new house on March 8th and we couldn't be more happier about it. I can't believe how much more room we have and I am amazed that we fit all of our stuff in our old house. We were living in a two-bedroom 1200 sq. feet (if that) house. I can't believe we lived without a dishwasher, closet space, and water that runs all the time and keeps its pressure even when you flush the toilet! If you live out in the country, you'll know what I am talking about! Ha Ha! I have more closet space than I know what to do with, but everyone keeps telling me that I'll soon find use for it. I told Nic that now that we have five bedrooms we should have another baby.... he didn't think that was too funny! We are now working on our yard and just getting use to living in our new place! Nic has taken off work the past couple of days and we have been putting up a batting cage for Andrew. We got the cage from my parents and are very excited to have it at our house. Andrew can hardly wait to use it! Nic and I have been planning out our yard, and all I have to say is that it will take us some time! Nic has big plans and there is a lot of lawn to be planted and consequently will have to be mowed! Good thing we invested in a riding lawn mower last year. Other than our house, all is well for the Pintar clan. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids looked so cute in their new Easter outfits. Both Andrew and Brooklyn celebrated their birthdays in March. Andrew turned seven and Brooklyn turned five. My kids are really growing up. My sister Lindsay has been here for the past couple of weeks and we have had a ball having her and her cute little girl Kaitlyn around. Emrie is learning to adjust having someone else to share grandma's attention with. Oh and by the way, I got Emrie's hair cut so check it out in my slide show! I am sorry I put 55 pictures in my slide show but I have to catch up somehow! Oh yeah, one more thing, I finally have the Internet at my house. This has been a long time coming. I will try to update my blog on a regular basis. Have a great week!

Good Things Utah and Tile

Hello everyone! Wow, I can't believe it is February already. I am so ready for the snow to melt. Anyways I have a lot to update on. First of all, our house is really coming along. We now have our cabinets in as well as our tile floors. We are still waiting on the hardwood and the carpet. I might add, we did some of the tile ourselves, and lets just say it was a lot bigger job than expected. Nic, my dad, and Joel did most of the work. My mom and I just supervised. The tile looks awesome. Once we did the floors I had Nic tile the countertop in the laundry room and he did such a nice job. I may start hiring him out. Ha Ha! When he finished the laundry room counter top I then asked him to do another countertop. He pretty much told me NO and walked away. He's had it. The finished products look great.

Last Friday, my mom and her sisters, my cousins, my mother-in-law, and I went up to Good Things Utah and sat in the audience. It was so much fun. Those 4 ladies on the show are darling and so nice. We had such a great day. We went to Tai Pan and IKEA and then had lunch. It was so nice to shop without kids!

Welcome 2008

Hello everybody! It has been a long time since I last posted something. I have to say, blogging has been the last thing on my mind lately, but now that things have somewhat calmed down I thought I could post something. Let me just give you a quick review from since I last posted. First of all we had a great Thanksgiving. We ate dinner at my parents and enjoyed all the family. Right after Thanksgiving I developed these aweful bumps on the back of my head that hurt so bad. Well when I decided to ask Nic what they were his comment was "Oh my heck you have shingles!" For those of you who don't know what shingles are, they are basically the same virus as the chickenpox. Once someone has had the chickenpox then they become carriers of the virus that for most people remains dormant but for me not so lucky. Shingles can be brought on due to a vairety of reasons, but my reason .....STRESS! The doctor asked me what I could do to relieve some of this stress and I just laughed. I told him I have three kids, I work full time, and I am building a new house. He smiled and agreed. But I am recovering slowly but surely. We made it through the month of Decemeber without anything major happening. The kids only got sick once! Nic got the stomach flu on Christmas day, but he is feeling better now. We had a wonderful Christmas break with all the family. It is so fun just to stay home and play with all of our new Christmas presents. Andrew got more games for the Wii and Brooklyn got a Baby Alive doll "that really poops and pees!" according to Brooklyn. I tell her that we already had a real baby the poops and pees (Emrie) but Brooklyn wasn't too impressed. Emrie got a few toys but seems to enjoy Andrew's and Brooklyn's toys more. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, we got the kids a dog for Christmas. I can't believe I actually broke down and bought a house puppy for my kids. I am not an animal lover at all. We named our cute puppy Boozer and man is he cute. His cuteness really won me over. So basically that is our life since the last time I posted. Our house is really coming along fast. Matt, our superintendent says that the house should be done the end of the month. We are all so excited.
P.S. When I get all the pictures from Christmas off my Camera I will add more pictures!

MTC & Halloween!

I know it has been awhile since I last wrote, but to be honest between taking care of three very active children and a husband, teaching school, and building a new house, my life seems to be a little crazy at the moment! All is well at the Pintar house. Here's a recap of the last couple of months:

  • Nic and I celebrated our 8 year Anniversary on 10-1-07! Wow!
  • Nic had his Gallbladder removed on October 2nd
  • Our new house was started on Oct. 11th.
  • Emrie pulled the curling iron down on her face and arm and was badly burned.
  • My little brother Tyler went into the MTC on Halloween day.
  • Nic is having withdrawls because Tyler is gone and now he is stuck with me! Ha Ha
  • Andrew started Little Hoopsters Basketball and is the fastest kid in the league. (He can steal the ball everytime, the problem comes when he tries to shoot a lay-up...BRICK!) Ha Ha We need to work on the fundamentals obviously.
  • Brooklyn continues to amaze me with her quick wit and intellegent comments. She keeps us on our toes as you can imagine.

All Work and No Play!

This morning while trying to wrestle Brooklyn down to get her dressed and do her hair she informed me, with her hands on her hips and a very serious look, that I was "all work and no play!" I just looked at her and laughed. She honestly says the funniest things to me everyday. I need to be better and write them down. The other day she said, "mom, I think I need to call someone tollfree." I looked at her and wondered where in world is she getting all these funny things from. I just think she listens to everything everyone says and then repeats them when she thinks the appropriate time is. What a funny kid!!!
